Sweet Felt

Aren't these cards too cute? I saw these cards during a Main Stage demonstration when I attended Leadership in January. I thought they were SO adorable just the way they were, that I didn't change a thing when we made them for club.

These two cards show off product from the Occasions Mini Catalog: the Sweet Pea Paper Stack, the Satin Ribbon, the Hugs Love Notes, and the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt. The sentiments are from the Sale-A-Bration set Whimsical Words.

Bella Bird

Today I have a 3x3 card to share with you. I try to keep 3x3 cards on hand, not only to place in customer orders, but also to add, for example, to a gift big or plate of cookies. I find that when I have 3x3 cards ready to go, I find lots of reasons to use them. :-)

For this card, I used the adorable new Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch from the Occasions Mini Catalog. All in one punch you get the bird, the wing (also doubles as a leaf or petal!), and a branch with leaves (not shown on this card). Too much fun! I punched the bird from the Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper. The tag was made using the Medium Jewelry Tag punch and the set Tiny Tags.

Just a reminder that there are only a few days left to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration! For each $50 purchase you can earn a free item! To shop, visit http://www.allison.stampinup.net/ and click on 'shop now' in the top right corner. Thanks!

Extreme Birthday

This card was so much fun to design. It was one of the cards we made at my March Clubs (per a request for masculine cards). I hadn't worked much with my Extreme Elements set, but it was SO easy to use! I think it helps that you don't have to line anything up or worry about stamping straight. :-)

The Extreme Skateboarder (you can earn him for free during Sale-A-Bration!) and the sentiment are both stamped with Chocolate Chip Craft ink. For the sentiment I crumpled the Creamy Caramel card stock to distress it a bit, tore the end, and then I stamped the words.

To add a little more texture, I used my color spritzer tool to splatter the Chocolate Chip layer.

Happy Weekend!

Vintage Glassine

Today I'm excited to show you another project using the Glassine Bags from the Occasions Mini Catalog. I showed this simple project at both a Stamping 101 class and a recent workshop.

I love this project--because I am able to put it together in a matter of minutes! It took me much longer to bake the cookies to go inside the bag than to make the bag look pretty. :-) I also love that this project is so affordable. With less than $1 in consumable materials, I have a little something to give to a friend to let them know I thought of them and to brighten their day. I love being able to share my stamping with others in a way that brings a smile to their face. :-)

For the tag I used the
Sale-A-Bration set Vintage Labels and Chocolate Chip ink. The ribbon is the gorgeous new Satin Ribbon that is also found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

For this project I didn't decorate the bag at all, but there are so many options. For example, you can decorate these Glassine Bag with rub-ons or Stazon Ink (white or black), or you can run the bag through the Big Shot with a texture plate or embossing folder to add fun texture to your bag. (See the second to last picture
HERE for example.)

Easter Treat

Can you believe Easter is just over two weeks away? Now I don't usually make too many Easter projects, but this cute little Chocolate Bunny (from the Occasions Mini Catalog) was too cute too pass up!

Although, around any holiday I do like to have 'a little something' on hand. Whether it be something for children's classmates, teacher gifts, hostess gifts, friends, co-workers, etc there's always someone that wouldn't mind a little 'I thought of you today' gift. :-)

Creative details: I ran Bashful Blue card stock through the Big Shot with the Top Note Die. I scored 1/2" from the middle of the top note--on both sides. That gives me one inch total for the flat part on the bottom. Although depending on what treat or small toy you add, you can easily change those measurements.

The Certainly Celery card stock was cut with the Big Shot and the Little Leaves Sizzlits Die. I embossed the Chocolate Bunny on Close to Cocoa paper using Chocolate Chip craft ink and Clear Embossing Powder. The Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon is also found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.
