It's time for some blog candy! Can you believe that I've already passed 12,000 hits? It's about time that I say thank you to everyone who has visited my blog. :-) I have appreciated so much the support that I have received from everyone who has visited, left comments, and sent kind emails. I have enjoyed my blog and look forward to continuing!
So here it is, just leave a comment on this post (one entry per person) and you will be entered in a drawing to receive everything in the picture above--the stamp set Starstruck (now retired), a roll of Alpine Originals ribbon, and the sampler bag. I will randomly choose the winner on March 16th--so make sure you enter before then!
And, there is a second way you can win! I have another roll of ribbon, another sampler bag, and a jar of white Chunky Glitter to give away as well. To win this set of goodies, I need your help. I'm going to be moving soon, and I definitely need to give some sort of thank you to my UPS man. Over the past 3 and a half years he has carried a lot of packages up to our 3rd floor apartment! And, he is always pleasant--never complains about the 20lb+ packages from Stampin Up. *blush*
Anyway, I'm at a loss as to how to thank him. . . . Something stamped would be nice, but do guys appreciate that sort of thing? Anyway, I'm not sure so that's why I'm asking your help! In your comment, leave your best idea for me! I'll choose my favorite idea on March 16th, and the person with that idea will receive the second set of goodies as a thank you. Thanks in advance for you help!
I thought I'd show a close up of the sampler bag. This is another one of those quick little projects. I used the Top Note die and ran it through the Big Shot. I filled a small cello bag with the coordinating accessories, added the folded Top Note to the top, and tied the ribbon around. The tag uses one of the new SINGLE stamps called Elegant Thank You and then was punched out with the Square Scallop punch. If you haven't noticed it yet, Stampin Up now has a small selection of single stamps! They are found on page 208 of the catalog and are perfect if you need a particular saying.
Stamps: Elegant Thank You
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip Marker
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Top Note die, Big Shot, small cellophane bag, Alpine Orininals ribbon, linen thread, square scallop punch, 1/16" circle punch

Count me in...who are all these people who look at your blog?

Congrats on all those hits! Thanks for sharing so much great inspiration and fun blog candy, too. Re: your UPS man, I might get him a gift card for someplace that sells little treats that he can take on the road with him--Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins, Starbucks, that sort of thing... You could whip up a quick gift card holder that wouldn't look too fussy but would still be heartfelt and handmade.
Yea for the hits total! I am a regular visitor as you are a link on my blog :)
Men's gifts are tricky. I do like Amy's idea. The only other thing I could think of is a stamped gift set of notebook, bookmark, etc in 'manly' colors.
Love your site for all the neat stampin ideas.

Forgot to leave suggestion for UPS dude. I woul dmake him a stamped gift card "manly" card with something from some place where he can stop for lunch...wendy's, mcd's, etc.

Congrats on your blog hits! Your blog is great with lots of wonderful ideas.
my tip for the ups guy - definitely gift cards and put it in a mug that you can put in the freezer for beer. The men love them!
Congrats on all your hits, Allison! I gave my UPS man some fresh from the oven muffins. He always comes at the same time, so I could time it just right. He nearly fell over in surprise but he said really liked them.
I love reading your blog. You always have such fun, cute ideas-things that I would never think of myself.
As for an idea for the ups man-I think some type of candy in a mug. You could stamp something cute (but manly) and cover the candy with it like you did for one of the Stampin' Up parties I attended. I thought that was really cute-and guys love candy. Or you could make one of those cute cards I saw on here that had a slot for the gift card and stick a gift card in for somewhere that he can eat lunch. Just some thoughts.
Hi Allison- I always check your blog for fun new ideas. Thanks for the give away! I hope I win!
Here is my idea for the UPS guy. I would deliver him his own UPS box. (you could even make a fake postage stamp and address it to him) Inside you could put lots of snacks, candy and drinks for him to eat throughout the day.
Congrats! Is your UPS man married? Maybe decorate a box of homemade cookies - something for both of them? Fun blog!
Thanks for the fun times we've had "stampin up" together. We will miss you when you move, but look forward to still getting your emails and great ideas.
My suggestion for the UPS guy is some See's candy or homemade goodies along with a card. Who doesn't like chocolate!
Congrats on your great blog I just recently found yours and am really impressed by the work you create. As for the UPS man the idea of a gift card is great, maybe also a travel mug that he can use in his truck. They always look so cold in those shorts in the winter!! So maybe a coffe shop and donuts for when he is in a hurry!
Good luck on your move, hopefully you will be on a lower floor this time!!
Allison, You know I love all your cute creations. Thank you for introducing me to stamping & for always being so helpful!f I think you are the most thoughtful person ever to be thinking of your UPS man! Where are you moving to? My idea isn't too creative but I know men like gift cards to good places to eat, or bestbuy! Then you can put it in a cute card holder that you make. Good luck with the move & all your stamping adventures! love Britney Jensen
My UPS man is also wonderful. For Christmas I always make hime a package. In the last 2 years, I have put a stamped wrapper around a cold coke(we live in Texas, no hot chocolate). Then I stamp a bag and put lots of snack foods he can eat while on his route. I also put in items he might use or like to give to his wife, like a post-it note pad attached to stamped chipboard. He always tells me I'm the only one who remembers him on Christmas, which surprised me because in the town I moved from we StampinUp reps were famous with the UPS people for always living little bags outside the door on delivery days. I even had a driver who would come back if I wasn't there the 1st time he came by. It's just the little things that make a difference. Jen
PS - your site is wonderful! I have it bookmarked now!
I love the ribbon!!
