Cajun Thanks
Another simple card using the single stamp So Many Thanks! The color scheme for this card came directly from the Color Coach (the Pear Pizzazz page). I used my Pear Pizzazz, Cajun Craze, and More Mustard markers to color directly on the stamp. After stamping I punched out the image using my 1 3/4" Circle Punch.
The 1" Pear Pizzazz circle was stamped with the Dot, Dot, Dot stamp. Too add a little texture, I crumpled 1 3/4" the Cajun Craze circle and then smoothed it out again. I used the Cutter Kit to distress the edges of the Whisper White and Pear Pizzazz layers. To help keep the Mini Library Clip in place, I added a glue dot right behind it.
Thanks for stopping by!
Stamps: So Many Thanks
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, More Mustard and Cajun Craze markers
Paper: Pear Pizzazz, More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Whisper White
Accessories: 1 3/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Mini Library Clip, Linen Thread, Cutter Kit, Dimensionals

Fancy Box of Thanks

As I promised, here's another project using the single stamp set So Many Thanks! I started by creating the box using my Big Shot and the Fancy Favor Die. I did trim off the decorative edge of the die. Before I assembled the box, I used my stamp-a-ma-jig and Pretty in Pink marker to stamp the row of hearts along the bottom of the box. Yes, those little hearts are from the same stamp. :-)
After I assembled the box, I used my Crop-a-Dile (smallest hole punch) to punch the holes along the top. Then I threaded the 1/8" Early Espresso taffeta ribbon through the holes. With a different piece of ribbon and set of holes, I tied the bow so that it went through the front AND back layers of the box--holding it closed.
For the tag, I markered and stamped the image with Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink, and Early Espresso. I did add some Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds to the little hearts. I also spritzed the Rich Razzleberry Scallop Circle punch with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.
Stamps: So Many Thanks
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White

Baja Thanks

I hope you aren't tired yet of seeing samples using the single stamp So Many Thanks--because I still have a few Display Samples left to show you! This card using the same color scheme (right from the Color Coach) that I used for the Birthday Milk Cartons I made last month. I love the way these colors go together, and it will definitely be one of my 'go-to' combinations.
This card is quite simple. I started by stamping the image with So Saffron, and then stamped it again on scrap card stock in both Poppy Parade and Baja Breeze. Then I just cut out select words from the Poppy Parade and Baja Breeze pieces so that I could layer them onto the So Saffron image. To add a little interest, I popped a few of the words up using dimensionals.
I used the Cutter Kit to distress the edges of the So Saffron layer, and added the ribbon. That's it!
Stamps: So Many Thanks
Ink: So Saffron, Poppy Parade, Baja Breeze
Paper: So Saffron, Poppy Parade, Baja Breeze, and Whisper White
Accessories: Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, Cutter Kit, dimensionals

Stampin' Celebration #15

Welcome to week #15 of the Stampin' Celebration Challenges! This week it's all about going back to school. This year 'going back to school' has a whole new meaning for our family as my oldest child is starting kindergarten! It's really hard to believe that Erik is old enough to go to school! I'm definitely going to miss him, but it'll be fun to spend some one on one time with my daughter too.
So, I love office supplies. There's just something so fun about them. So for the school week I knew I definitely had to incorporate a few of the office supply items that are hanging around my craft room just begging to be altered. ;-) The colors I picked for the ensemble are Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, and Real Red.

I hope you've enjoyed these projects! Make sure to go check out the Stampin' Celebration blog to see what the other Design Team members have created this week. There are some great projects you won't want to miss!

New Catalog Mega Blog Hop!

Welcome to stop #5 on the Stampin' Addicts Mega Blog Hop! This Blog Hop features 26 Stampin' Addicts members who are sharing their creativity with us. Each stop will feature products from the new Idea Book & Catalog!
If you are following the hop in order, you just came from Kim's blog Stitchin' Stampin' on Paper where she showcased gorgeous projects using the single stamp Homemade. Isn't it amazing what you can do with one stamp?
Today I am showing some ideas using another single stamp, So Many Thanks. This is a stamp that I got to work with to create samples for the Display Boards at Convention, and as I worked with this stamp, I was amazed at how versatile a single stamp can be.

As I was playing around with this stamp, I realized I didn't need to be confined to the square image of the stamp. The idea for the layout of this card came from an old inspiration sheet--I believe the (now discontinued) set Be Happy. The colors featured here are Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, So Saffron, and Early Espresso.

And last but not least, a 3-D project. I used my Big Shot to create a Pillow Box with the Newsprint Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used the circle/flower center stamp from the set Pick a Petal to stamp some circles in Marina Mist--just to add a little color and interest to the DSP. I markered and stamped the 'thanks' and then punched with the 1 3/4 by 7/8" Oval Punch. I distressed the edges and layered it onto a Basic Black Scallop Oval Extra Large punch.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you've been inspired by these projects.
Next on the Blog Hop is Heidi over at RunningwScissorsStamper. She will be showcasing the stamp set Wicked Cool--a set that is on my wish list! Go check out her awesome creations, and then continue on in the Hop to see more projects showcasing all-new sets from the catalog.

Vogue Butterflies

For this card I started by using the single stamp Butterfly Accent. I stamped with Pretty in Pink on Whisper White and then cut out the butterfly. After I had finished cutting, I had the thought that perhaps the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die (Big Shot) may have a coordinating butterfly. I checked and sure enough--almost an exact match. So, for the vellum layer I went the easy route and used my Big Shot to do all the cutting work. :-)
To dress up the vellum butterflies, I stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice Stampin' Emboss Powder. I layered the two butterflies together and then wrapped the Linen Thread around. I also used Iridescent Ice around the edge of the card--I just used my Versamark pad to dab around the edges and then embossed. So lots of sparkle going on in this card! :-) The friend sentiment (also embossed with the Iridescent Ice) is also from the Vintage Vogue set--I just omitted the 's' from the friends stamp.

Extreme Birthday
This card was so much fun to design. It was one of the cards we made at my March Clubs (per a request for masculine cards). I hadn't worked much with my Extreme Elements set, but it was SO easy to use! I think it helps that you don't have to line anything up or worry about stamping straight. :-)
The Extreme Skateboarder (you can earn him for free during Sale-A-Bration!) and the sentiment are both stamped with Chocolate Chip Craft ink. For the sentiment I crumpled the Creamy Caramel card stock to distress it a bit, tore the end, and then I stamped the words.
To add a little more texture, I used my color spritzer tool to splatter the Chocolate Chip layer.
Happy Weekend!
Stamps: Extreme Elements, Extreme Skateboard
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Creamy Caramel, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip Craft
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Whisper White
Accessories: Color Spritzer Tool, Cutter Kit, Not Quite Navy brad, dimensionals

Easter Treat

Can you believe Easter is just over two weeks away? Now I don't usually make too many Easter projects, but this cute little Chocolate Bunny (from the Occasions Mini Catalog) was too cute too pass up!
Although, around any holiday I do like to have 'a little something' on hand. Whether it be something for children's classmates, teacher gifts, hostess gifts, friends, co-workers, etc there's always someone that wouldn't mind a little 'I thought of you today' gift. :-)
Creative details: I ran Bashful Blue card stock through the Big Shot with the Top Note Die. I scored 1/2" from the middle of the top note--on both sides. That gives me one inch total for the flat part on the bottom. Although depending on what treat or small toy you add, you can easily change those measurements.
The Certainly Celery card stock was cut with the Big Shot and the Little Leaves Sizzlits Die. I embossed the Chocolate Bunny on Close to Cocoa paper using Chocolate Chip craft ink and Clear Embossing Powder. The Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon is also found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Stamps: Chocolate Bunny, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip Craft
Paper: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White
Accessories: Small Oval Punch, Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon, Big Shot, Top Note Die, Little Leaves Sizzlets Die, Heat Tool, Embossing Buddy, Clear EP, Crop-A-Dile

Blog Candy!

It's time for some blog candy! Can you believe that I've already passed 12,000 hits? It's about time that I say thank you to everyone who has visited my blog. :-) I have appreciated so much the support that I have received from everyone who has visited, left comments, and sent kind emails. I have enjoyed my blog and look forward to continuing!
And, there is a second way you can win! I have another roll of ribbon, another sampler bag, and a jar of white Chunky Glitter to give away as well. To win this set of goodies, I need your help. I'm going to be moving soon, and I definitely need to give some sort of thank you to my UPS man. Over the past 3 and a half years he has carried a lot of packages up to our 3rd floor apartment! And, he is always pleasant--never complains about the 20lb+ packages from Stampin Up. *blush*
